"When Pure Is Defiled" is Jerk's debut album and was produced by Sean Bevan (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson and Guns n Roses) and Lamar Lowder (Chainsuck and Engines of Aggression). The debut single off the album "I Hate People Like That" topped Triple J's National Net 50 chart four weeks in a row and continues to be a favourite with the stations listeners. The album also features their current radio single "Just What You Need".
