In relation to reports indicating that Apple is yet to get on board with SONY BMG, Emmanuel Candi (General Manager of Business Strategy and Human Resources for SONY BMG Australia) said: "iTunes is a welcome retailer to the Australian market. SONY BMG and Apple are in good discussions and hope to have the final issues resolved soon, at which time iTunes will be on track to sell our recordings. We have many licences in place with digital retailers in Australia, and we lead the market in this area having recently passed 2 million digital sales."
