Pop megastar and the sexiest boot-scooter of them all, Jessica Simpson, makes a massive return with her fifth studio album, 'A Public Affair'.

Boasting a star-studded line-up of the most sought-after producers in the business, including Lester Mendez (J-Lo, Shakira), Jimmy Tam and Terry Lewis (Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey), Scott Storch (Beyonce, Xzibit), Cory Rooney, and Stargate, 'A Public Affair' delivers some true gems with a fresh new twist from the platinum-selling star.

A true reflection of her growth personally and musically, the diverse range of tracks on the album run from dreamy ballads to sexy up-tempo dance-pop numbers like 'Push Your Tush' and 'A Public Affair'.

Speaking to MTV.com, Jessica said the album may surprise some people, with the talented singer/songwriter writing an impressive 10 of the 13 tracks, including her smash new single 'A Public Affair', which she co-wrote with Mary J Blige.

"It's not about what you think it's going to be about... People probably expected (it to be about Lachey) because of everything going on in my life, but it's not about him at all."
Instead, she says it's about her new life, though she admits Nick did serve as the inspiration to one track on the album, 'Let Him Fly?,  which she says gave her solace through the tough times. The Patty Griffin classic (since covered by the Dixie Chicks) "is about how sometimes you just have to know when to let something go," she said. "(It) was just perfect for that moment. And I had to sing it."
