Hard rock outfit Jerk are continuing their assault on the Australian listening public, with their current single, "I Hate People Like That". For three weeks running the band have held onto the #1 spot on Triple J's Net 50 - a feat most bands only dream of! Based purely on listener votes, the Net 50 is broadcast nationally on the Triple J network each Saturday night, with the eclectic music mix reflecting what is hot right at the moment.
Notably, Jerk has been topping the Net 50 ahead of Big Day Out favourites Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age. Undoubtedly a powerfully unique sound on the radio, the true Jerk experience is taken live. The band has just finished their support spots for US rockers Disturbed, and continue their musical onslaught as part of Channel V's Music Bus. Fans can catch them live when the Bus makes one more stop on February
27 at Hanging Rock Oval, Bateman's Bay. (Stay tuned for more details on where you can see Jerk live soon.)
Watch out for the band's new single "Just What You Need" which is off their forthcoming debut album "When Pure Is Defiled" in stores on April 14.
