Hot on the heels of their Blondie support spots, Lo-tel have signed on to open for John Mayer when he hits town next month. The Sydney-based alternative rockers are looking forward to the gigs and the chance to showcase some of the new material from their latest album "The Lost Thing".
"It should be great," says lead singer Luke Hanigan of the upcoming gigs. "We'll be playing to big rooms and appropriate audiences. I think that guy's a monster in terms of playing live. I was never really switched on to his music until I saw the live video "Any Given Thursday". He is amazing in that - I was blown away. He's like a modern day conservatorium trained Hendrix."
Lo-tel's "The Lost Thing" is available in stores now. Watch out for the single "Angel' out on August 18 and stay tuned for more news on upcoming Lo-tel gigs soon.
