Jessica Simpson's forthcoming album, "In This Skin" is an ode to love offering fans an insight into her marriage to fellow pop idol Nick Lachey (98 Degrees) and the emotions behind finding her one true love.
"When I'm in love, I want to go to the top of a mountain and scream it out to the world," says Simpson. "I was always shy about expressing my own point of view, but now, I think I have things figured out as a woman and I want to give fans a piece of my heart and soul. Making this record was a great experience - not to mention wonderful therapy."
A number of A-list songwriters contributed to the album including Diane Warren, Ric Wake, Andy Marvel, Billy Mann, Holly Lamar, Denise Rich, Trina Harmon and Damon Elliott. "In This Skin" is Jessica's third album, following 2001's "Irresistible" and her popular 1999 debut "Sweet Kisses".
Aside from recording, Simpson has been busy with her MTV fly on the wall TV show, "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica" which will launch in the US on the same day as the album's release. The weekly reality series showcases all sides of the couple's lives together, from the recording of their albums to glam industry parties to the ups and downs of married life at home in Los Angeles.
Jessica Simpson's "In This Skin" is expected to hit Australian stores before the end of the year.
