A classic anthem that doesn't pulls any punches (much like Sandi herself), 'I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker (With Flowers In My Hair)' has definitely struck a chord with fans around the world with its raw beats and catchy melody, not to mention those now famous lyrics that lament for a time when "computers were still scary and we didn't know everything".
Part of a new breed of online-based acts that include the Arctic Monkeys and Gnarls Barkley, Thom gathered her grassroots fan base online though performances on her own site and MySpace, going on to debut at #1 on the UK single and album charts with 'I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker' and 'Smile.. It Confuses People' respectively.
