UK dance duo Groove Armada (aka Andy Cato and Tom Findlay) will return with their fifth album 'Soundboy Rock' on April 21.
Packed with 15 new tracks which Andy says "crosses lots of stylistic boundaries", the album will be released on CD, Vinyl and also as a limited CD package with two bonus tracks (not listed below).
Speaking recently on their site, the guys say they're well pleased with their efforts, which feature an all-new rhythm ensemble (their old bassist and drummer were poached by Faithless?).
"It's the best one we've done, no question. There's always gonna be things you think you could do better or things you could change, but as an album which combines all the bases that Groove Armada travel across, from the big live shows to the big DJ sets to the sunset stuff and that really kind of English sound that we seem to have, it does all that. It covers a lot of ground, but it all seems to flow and sit together and make sense. I'm really happy with it," says Andy.
"I'm definitely proud of it," agrees Tom, who is particularly fond of the album's first single 'Get Down' (due out here April 14).
"Well, it's definitely house music. but with a break tinge and a bit of UK Garage thrown in courtesy of Stush. It's quirky and up front. I've played it out and it definitely pops out of the speakers. I think it sounds quite different to everything else on the dancefloor, but at the same time quite contemporary..."

Also be on the listen out for all of the new tracks on 'Soundboy Rock' and some old gems too when Groove Armada play at the forthcoming V Festival taking place in Sydney on March 31 and the Gold Coast on April 1, and The 'Best Of V' fest in Melbourne.
Tom says they've been fine-tuning their performance to give us a heck of a show... and they're pumped.
"We haven't been back there for a long time, so I'm really looking forward to it. Australia's always been like a second home for us. I think the stuff on this new album will really appeal to the Ozzies, because they love their breakbeat and their funk out there."
Yes, yes we do.
